Statement Eyes for Spring/Summer 2015

The spring /summer 2015 makeup trends prove to be more diverse than ever and interesting enough to meet any beauty demands.

Looking through the options and at the most famous fashion shows and catwalks, I found makeup alternatives for any taste and preference, starting with the classic options like "no makeup" makeup look to the most extravagant and artsy looks.
Usually I write one big makeup trends report article, but this year I decided to split the makeup trends report in two articles, one with amazing eyes trends and one about face/skin and lips trends.
The lip of the season is rich, supersaturated, and soft around the edges and you can read more about it here
This spring/summer season is definitely influenced by visual arts and make-up illustrations but also from urban and  from Instagram artists. The focus is on eyes with strokes of bold amazing colors, fine injected lines, punk elements for brows or magic glitter.I believe you noticed that the eyes are very important to make a glamorous and feminist impression. This season is all about the statement eyes, so don't hold back!
There are some different forms of makeup to look irresistible and here are the most beautiful and irresistible eye looks for S/S 2015 .

1.Creative Lines and Bold Graphic Cat Eye
Black eye liner is progressing from clean to flicked and after that to exaggerated winged out. Bored with the black traditional cat eye ? Why not try something else?

This S/S season, cat eyes are not only in black but also in white, pastels and even bold neon colors. If you want to make a graphic statement without the vibrant shades, experiment with white eyeliner.
Thin, clean and slightly flicked -out lines, arrows of black pencil  could be seen on the runway for spring and summer, but also strong bold, dramatic lines.

Creative, dramatic, bold and bright eye looks and almost angry winged were seen at Givenchy and Max Mara.

2.Magic glitter
Glitter is no longer just for little girls wearing pink tutu skirts- it’s a trend nowadays! Glitter is the ideal option for a party night, but keep it to one specific area because definitely don’t want to be like a walking, talking disco ball, but more like a bohemian chic girl.

Gold glitter is one way to do it but silver and bronze will work also.
Precious  metallic and glittery vibes are a trend alert this coming spring/summer.

Artist Pat McGrath, used lash glue to affix gold glitter down the center of lids, around the inner corners of eyes, and along the lower lash lines for Anna Sui's spring runway.

3.Purple Lids
Purple is a color that will make your eyes pop instantly. It represents spiritual awareness, physical and mental healing, strength and abundance but in the same time vanity, extravagance, and individualism.

Purple rich dramatic eye lids were seen at Vera Wang , perfect for a spring night.
Romantic and subtle lavender was seen at Derek Lam, minimalistic and ideal for day wear .
This shade is perfect for blue eyes and brown eyes .

4.Bold Blue
If purple is to much for you and is not your thing or is just to daring, you can opt for blue, azure shades on the upper and on the lower lids. Blue is perfect to create bold trendy graphic cat eyes.

For summer, light blue eye pencils to the waterline or gradient blue can make your eyes speak about you and help you catch some attention.Different shades of blue, top and bottom of the lids were seen at Elie Saab and Emanuel Ungaro .

5.Twiggy and the 60's

Big, expressive eyes, full dolly lashes that goes perfect with lower liner and neutral tones of cut crease or pastel lids, perfect dolly beauty.

6.Sultry Smokey Eyes
Each season has fresh and new cool options for smokey eye, but this S/s 2015 we opt for something chic and Parisian.

At Diane von Fürstenberg and Tom Ford I have seen the most classiest end timeless ways of wearing smokey eyes on brown and black shades ,very simple but beautiful and chic.
At Armani the smokey eye was with silver metallic accents and mixed with earth shades  but paired with a pale skin tones, bushy eyebrows and mate sandy nude lips.
At Roberto Cavalli, makeup artist Pat McGrath mixxed 3 different shades (brown, gray, silver) for a perfect smokey eye paired with nude skin and lips.

7.Expensive and Eccentric Eyebrows
Inovation, futuristic approach or just Instagram ? Not sure, but maybe a bit from everything.

Powerful brows dyed in pastel shades ,from light blue to bright fuchsia. I just looked  up on Instagram and it seems there are over 6000 people who have pink eyebrows already :))

And right when I thought that the pink dyed eyebrow is kind of extreme and rebellious I see eyes with eyebrows fully decked in rows of silver piercing rings, nowhere else than at the craziness of the New York Fashion Week.
Rodarte shocked the audience with pierced -like brows, very punk in my opinion. And because this was the "talk of the day " at one point, I have to mention that the earrings are attached on the brows with glue. Maybe with the pierced eyebrow trend you should just
hold  it back, as with make-up, not everything should be taken literally!

I would also love to know your opinion in the comment section,as it will help me offer you better information in the next coming posts. Any make-up ideas/trend you want to try ?

If you liked this post and find it useful, please share it on social media with your friends! Sharing is caring, don't keep the good stuff just for yourself :))
