My Favorite Winter Perfumes

I recently updated my perfume collection and thought to share with you my Winter favorites. for the cold season I love a heavy, spicy and warm scent, something dense and decadent.

Boucheron Pour Femme Eau de Parfum is a brilliant, sensual, floral and Oriental fragrance that opens with sparkling fruit notes while its soft signature is filled with a voluptuous bouquet of white flowers. This perfume is a classic, very rich and old school, mostly for special occasions, but that never stopped me to wear it whenever I wanted. I would not describe it spicy, warm, powdery and animalic in a sensual way. It has an amazing silage (very heavy ) and on me and it lasts the entire day, sometimes even after shower if I used too much.
Notes: Top: orange blossom, mandarin. Middle: jasmine, ylang-ylang, tuberose. Base: amber, vanilla.
This perfume is not for everyone, is daring and very dramatic, comes from a different era and you need to smell it with your brain to understand its complexity, its so much more behind those few notes mentioned.

This perfume demands a certain attitude and a certain glamour, you can't just spray it on and wear it with jeans and a simple white t-shirt. Too dramatic to wear it every day but quite amazing !

theCream Skincare and Colostrum- Nature's Superfood for Skin

Only recently I discovered  theCream Skincare by thePinkCowBrand or better say they discovered me on Instagram and because they heard I never tried Colostrum in skincare before they offered me the opportunity of trying out 2 products of my choice. I decided to go for the Age Defying Eye Serum and the Comforting Facial Cleanser.

When it comes to skincare or even makeup, I am really selective and careful with what I put on my skin for the simple fact that I don't want or need any toxins in my blood via my skincare regimen.

theCream Skincare is the only biologically alive skincare in the world and is based on nourishing and energizing skin cells with nature's most powerful life-giving New Zealand Colostrum.

      What exactly is Colostrum ?

Well, colostrum is a form of milk produced by mammals (yes, including humans ) to help provide all the essential ingredients needed in the first 72 hours of life, in other words : the starter of life.
Colostrum could be considered the oldest and the most researched super food in all human history. Its health, beauty and healing effects were recorded in the Ancient Egypt, at the Ayuverdics in India and even by the old cattle tribes in Africa. I really had no idea but with blogging comes knowledge, the main reason why I love blogging!
In modern times, there is an abundance of publish research showing colostrum's health and healing properties, including the topical application for skin, beauty and healing. Colostrum can be found in everything from supplements to high end expensive beauty cream.

As some of you already saw on my Instagram, last week I have received from PIXI a super beautiful pink box that opens like a book and it even has this cute shiny lock on, that can be open only with the little key attached to it. This is one of the most adorable gift boxes I ever received since I review beauty products.

I am really excited to share with you the contents of this precious box, but because a lot of people told me that they never heard about PIXI, I first need to say that this brand is created by Petra Strand who has more than 20 years experience as a makeup artist & product developer.Passionate about skincare Petra created innovative formulations that are infused with botanical ingredients.

Barnängen - Gentle skincare, balanced beauty and living "lagom" in The Netherlands

Barnängen was founded in Stockholm in 1868 by the Swedish wholesaler Johan Wilhelm Holmström and ever since Barnängen has been characterized by genuine and gentle products with a natural and pure feeling. Entire generations of Swedes have used and loved them, making Barnängen one of the most iconic brands in Sweden.

Recently, Barnängen launched also in The Netherlands and products can be found exclusiv in da and dio stores. This article has been sponsored by Barnängen NL

Barnängen is using a fusion of Nordic-inspired ingredients and the Swedish aesthetic to create products that truly reflect lagom, but what is lagom and how do I live lagom?

NOT TOO LITTLE, NOT TOO MUCH .JUST THE RIGHT AMOUNT. This is LAGOM, a sense of  feel good balance.

Five years ago I decided to slow down and live life slow, but not too slow. I started to enjoy little things as well as important ones; to be grateful for everything I have in my life even if I dont have a perfect life. I decided to spend less, to collect moments and not only objects, to find time for meditation, self care and relaxing moments after work. I decided to balance everything in my life, to become more aware and conscious and finding a balance was the key to my happiness.

Lagom is an concept to live a life in balance and harmony, appropriate but not perfect, a way to live a simpler, fairer, less complicated and more content way of life. You can implement lagom in everything you want, at work, to your wardrobe, to your garden, or your home or even to your beauty rituals. I really believe that lagom needs to be a trend, because it feels so good to be balanced!

I believe in natural beauty but in the same time I believe in aesthetics, self care, relaxing, nourishing, moisturizing and pampering ! I am really happy to be a part of the #barnangenbeauty concept in The Netherlands.

Barnängen believes that beauty comes from when you feel “just right”—confident, authentic, and balanced. Their mission is to provide balanced care for a beautifully balanced skin.

Sukin - Naturally derived, cruelty free and vegan skincare

A while ago when I was browsing the internet, looking to change my skincare to a more natural, non toxic and vegan type, I discovered Sukin. At first I thought it was something Japanese or Korean but when I looked into it I found out that Sukin is made in Australia.

Before I buy skincare or makeup I like to find out a little bit about the brand and their vision and values, if they test on animals or if they use recyclable packaging. I dont know if most people look up these things before they decide to buy cosmetics, but for me brand philosophy is quite important. More important than what is trending on Instagram or in online beauty editorials. Looking into a brand philosophy should be just as important as checking the ingredient list before you buy something.

I LOVE THE SIMPLE PHILOSOPHY behind Sukin: all their formulations are 100% Carbon Neutral, biodegradable and grey water safe. All of the products produced by Sukin are Australian made with ingredients that are naturally derived, cruelty free and vegan.

You might think this article is sponsored but it's not; I think it's about time that we promote for free the love of natural and healthy companies that really show respect for the environment and and for us as clients. I wish I was able to find their products at my Holland & Barrett and if that would ever happen I will probably get everything they sell. So far I was able to shop for some of their products online at various retailers but it's been difficult to find the products I wanted, especially the ones from the new super green range.

Lierac Hydragenist Moisturising Serum, a serum that improved the way my skin looks

Lierac, which was founded in France in 1975 by a cosmetic surgeon who wanted to help women improve the look and texture of their skin, now offers their products on a global scale.

Lierac has a really good reputation when it comes to their expertise in skin disorders and aesthetic medicine.Recently and for the very first time, Lierac created a skincare range inspired by tissue oxygenation, a brilliant aesthetic technique which involves spraying pure oxygen, hyaluronic acid and vitamins onto the skin to hydrate it intensely and effective.

Metallic Rose -Gold Lips and Shimmery Eyes

I have been wearing matte lips for ages and now that the metallic lip was the trend look of the Summer I really had to jump on it. I opted for a molten, glossy, metallic finish because it photographs really well and it has this lovely shine that adds a little bit of extra dimension to my lips.
This is probably not the way your supposed to wear metallic lips but if you always stick to the rules things my get really boooooring and you never get the chance to play and experiment with makeup.
So here it is : metallic lips, glowing cheeks and sparkly colorful eye shadow; SHINE HAS BECOME MY FAVORITE COLOR !

Jaïpur Bracelet by Boucheron

Jaïpur Bracelet by Boucheron  is a floral fragrance for women, launched in 2012. Jaïpur Bracelet’s bottle is a "reworked" version of the bottle for the original Boucheron Jaïpur.

Jaïpur Bracelet was developed by perfumer Carlos Benaïm, a master perfumer and it includes notes of bigarade, petitgrain, violet leaf, verbena, basil, hyacinth, carnation, lily of the valley, cypress, Cashmeran and iris.
Jaïpur Bracelet was a blind buy, I had no sample and I had never smelled this fragrance before I bought it. I was reading about it in a magazine and I decided to give it a try because I could not stop thinking about it. I absolutely love it !

To me this fragrance smells liken the sun mixed with spring flowers, all infused in fresh river water.

Can we shrink large pores ?

Did you know that on everyone's face there is an average of 300,000 pores, most of which aren't noticeable to the naked eye?! Sounds a little bit too much don't you think ?

Pores are tiny places on the surface of the skin that serve as outlets for oil and sweat. The pores on the face tend to be the most noticeable and the most prone to clogs and other problems.
Today I will let you know which are the factors that determine the size of our pores and if we can can minimize them and improve the look of the skin.

We all want soft, smooth pore- less skin don't we ?
With constant exposure to pictures of airbrushed celebrities, it is hard not to get a little obsessive over pore size and there are certainly plenty of products out there promising to minimize or reduce large pores.
If you're having large pores, your instinct might be to try to cover them up with cosmetics, or you may go the opposite route and think makeup is something to avoid. But if you pick the right products and follow a few tips, you can wear makeup without making your large pores worse -- and you just might be able to make them appear smaller.
The bad news is that you can't do anything to permanently shrink large skin pores. The good news is that there are ways you can make them look smaller.

Let 's get ready for bronzed, glowing- summer skin !

Today I had some free time on my hands to reorganize some of my makeup and I thought I should share with you some of my favorite blushes and bronzers.

I picked some pinks, some corals, some peaches, some warm, sun kissed bronzers, some baked blushes, some matte ones, some shimmery - but all pretty and lovely.
I tried to make a balance between drugstore and high end products, to give an option for every kind of budget.
